XTAR MC2 charger, which surpasses its competitors' chargers. It is lightweight, with ultra-compact size. It was designed, very solidly and pragmatically. MC2 inherits the best features of all XTAR manufacturer chargers. It can charge rechargeable batteries of sizes: 14500/ 14650/ 16340/ 17500/ 17670/ 18350/ 18500/ 18650/ 18700/ 26650. It can charge cells exactly up to 4.2V and automatically stop the process, once the charging is finished. So, you no longer have to worry about whether the battery will be overcharged, which directly affects the battery life. It weighs only 42 grams and this is a very good result. It allows you to charge 26650 cells, without an adapter and together with the USB port, it is very convenient, even when traveling.

Included with the Xtar MC2 charger, you get a micro USB cable. For the set you need a power adapter, such as for your phone, or a computer with a free USB port. The minimum power of the charger should be 500mA.

An interesting and safe solution in the MC2 charger is a separately connected power supply. This prevents unnecessary heating of the charged cell. When the set is working, the power supply itself heats up and not the charged cell. As a result, the temperature during charging, can rise no more than 15 degrees on the cell. This directly affects the life of the battery.

In the MC2 charger, we can also recharge the batteries, up to full. First, we put the battery into the charger and wait until its voltage drops below 4.1V. This will occur during the self-discharge process. Batteries with a voltage of 4.1V or higher are treated as charged by the charger. Charging will start when the voltage drops below 4.1V.

On the other hand, reactivating discharged cells involves inserting the cell into the charger and checking the voltage. With this function, we can check each cell in the appropriate size. When a discharged cell is detected, the charger will attempt to reactivate it. Note that exceeding the minimum voltage on the cell will limit the possibility of reactivating and saving such a battery.

Actual capacity achieved by using SANYO UR18650AY 2200mAh cell. Most commonly used in BlackEye, Cree LED flashlights, diving flashlights and anywhere a 18650 cell with protection is used. The PCM chip, which is built into the battery, protects it from overcharging, over-discharge, overloading and short-circuiting.

The cell has a "high plus" so that it adheres better to the contacts of the device.
