XTAR 's latest innovative BC4 charger is a smart device for charging Li-ION, Ni-MH and Ni-CD cells in AA and AAA sizes. The charger can charge different cells at the same time. It automatically recognizes the type of battery (manufacturing technology). It automatically adjusts the voltage and current delivered to the batteries to ensure optimal charging with minimal consumption of the cells. Charging is controlled by the MCU microprocessor, which automatically (using the Delta-V method and a timer) disconnects the high charging current when the battery is fully charged to an optimal degree. It then switches to a low maintenance current charging mode, which ensures maximum battery life and performance. This not only makes it environmentally friendly, but also saves money. Created for 1.5V Li-ION batteries, it is also compatible with AA and AAA Ni-MH and Ni-CD batteries. Specially created Li-ION 1.5V AA rechargeable batteries, give the possibility to use them like regular alkaline batteries and Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, which have the same size. In addition, such cells are distinguished by their high power and large capacity of 3.3Wh, and this is enough for daily use.

The charger does not charge Li-ION 3.6V/ 3.7V batteries.

XTAR's BC4 is more than a battery charger because it has a Power Bank function, charging external devices. The cells in the BC4 charger can be used to charge cell phones, for example. Disposable alkaline batteries (at least 3 pieces) can also be used for this purpose. The device will handle such a set, of disposable alkaline batteries, through the USB output and will charge at 1A. Therefore, the BC4 is a good device for emergency use. The second distinctive innovation is the built-in lighting. On the side of the case, there is an LED that can serve as an emergency light. The BC4 charger comes with a lanyard, allowing you to hang it on your wrist, bag or other equipment.
