XTAR FC2 charger for 10440-26650 USB-C Li-ION/ Ni-MH/ Ni-CD cells 2 channels.

For daily use!

The latest innovative charger, XTAR FC2 is a smart device for charging various Li-ION, protected and unprotected, Ni-MH and Ni-CD cells. It has an indicator for each charging channel, showing progress and charging current. In addition, it automatically recognizes the state of the battery, and shows the charging process on a small LED indicator. It can charge both 1 cell and 2 at the same time. It supports protected battery sizes 20700 and 21700, and the FC2 is a lightweight portable charger, useful for any travel.

What sets the XTAR FC2 charger apart ?

  • Three-stage processor-controlled TC/CC/CV charging process
  • Two independent charging channels
  • Wide compatibility with 3.6V / 3.7V Li-ION and 1.2V Ni-MH and Ni-CD batteries
  • Supported sizes: 10440, 14500, 14650, 16340, 17500,17670, 18350, 18500, 18650, 18700, 20700, 21700, 22650, 25500, 26650, AAAA, AAA, AA, SC and C cells
  • Support for protected 20700 and 21700 cells
  • Charging current 1x 2A / 2x 1A / 2x 0.5A (manually selectable)
  • USB-C charging port
  • Supports power adapter with USB 5V 2A (recommended with QC 3.0 5V/3A | 9V/2A | 12V/1.5A)
  • 0V function, reactivating deeply discharged batteries and 0V cells
  • Multiple protections against overcharging, over-discharge, short circuit
  • LED charging indicator, for each channel separately
  • Housing made of ABS material, excellent heat dissipation
  • Warranty: 24 months

TC/CC/CV charging algorithm used in the charger, is a charging process for Li-ION cells to ensure good cell condition. It involves charging with the right current and also completing the charge at the right time. TC/CC/CV charging stages, we can divide into:

    • TC stage: the initial phase of checking and reactivating a cell whose voltage has dropped below 2.9V
    • CC stage: then the cell is charged with a constant current of 50mA to 500mA (depending on the connected power source).
    • CV stage: then the charger switches to charging with decreasing current until the cell voltage reaches 4.2V. When the cell voltage reaches 4.2V, charging is complete and the battery is fully charged

Included with the XTAR FC2 charger, you get a USB-C cable. You will need a power adapter for the kit, such as for your phone, or a computer with a free USB port. The recommended power supply is 3A with QC 3.0 function (5V/3A | 9V/2A | 12V/1.5A).

An interesting and safe solution in the FC2 charger is a separately pluggable power supply. This prevents unnecessary heating of the charged cell. When the set is working, the power supply itself heats up and not the charged cell. As a result, the temperature during charging, can rise no more than 15ºC on the cell. This directly affects the life of the battery.

In the XTAR FC2 charger, we can also recharge the batteries, up to full. First, we put the battery into the charger and wait until its voltage drops below 4.1V. This will occur during the self-discharge process. Batteries with a voltage of 4.1V or higher are treated as charged by the charger. Charging will start when the voltage drops below 4.1V.

Reactivating discharged cells involves inserting the cell into the charger and checking the voltage. With this function, we can check each cell in the appropriate size. When a discharged cell is detected, the charger will attempt to reactivate it. Note that exceeding the minimum voltage on the cell will limit the possibility of reactivating and saving such a battery.
