The kit includes:
MC1 charger which is a lithium-ion cell charger with a micro USB charging input. The charger can charge one rechargeable cell size: 10440/ 14500/ 14650/ 16340/ 17335/ 17500/ 17670/ 18350/ 18490/ 18500/ 18650/ 18700/ 20700/ 21700/ 22650/ 25500/ 26650 at 3.6V/3.7V nominal voltage. With TC/CC/CV charging algorithm and real-time detection, the charger is a smart and safe device. It weighs only 42 grams and this is a very good result. It can charge 26650 cells, without an adapter and together with the USB port, it is very convenient, even when traveling.

What makes the MC1 charger stand out?

The Xtar MC1 charger comes with a micro USB cable and a case to protect the charger for transportation. For the set you need a power adapter with a micro USB cable, such as from a phone, or a computer with a free USB port. The minimum power of the charger should be 500mA.

An interesting and safe solution in the MC1 charger is a separately connected power supply. This prevents unnecessary heating of the charged cell. When the set is working, the power supply itself heats up and not the charged cell. As a result, the temperature during charging, can rise no more than 15 degrees on the cell. This directly affects the life of the battery.

In the MC1 charger, we can also recharge the batteries, up to full. First, we put the battery into the charger and wait until its voltage drops below 4.1V. This will occur during the self-discharge process. Batteries with a voltage of 4.1V or higher are treated as charged by the charger. Charging will start when the voltage drops below 4.1V.

On the other hand, reactivating discharged cells involves inserting the cell into the charger and checking the voltage. With this function, we can check each cell in the appropriate size. When a discharged cell is detected, the charger will attempt to reactivate it. Note that exceeding the minimum voltage on the cell will limit the possibility of reactivating and saving such a battery.

Actual capacity achieved by using SANYO UR18650AY 2200mAh cell. Most commonly used in BlackEye, Cree LED flashlights, diving flashlights and anywhere a 18650 cell with protection is used. The PCM chip, which is built into the battery, protects it from overcharging, over-discharge, overloading and short-circuiting.
